climbingThe highlight of the fall festival is, of course, two solid days of quality sport climbing. Then there's the skills clinics, morning yoga, an evening hanging out with friends around a bonfire, a classic climbing movie, prizes and awesome swag bag.
ClinicsOffered by AMGA Single Pitch Instructors and guides at Vertical Voyages. Each clinic is 2-3 hours and $40pp.
Anchor Cleaning Clinic Learn to safely retrieve your gear from an outdoor sport route and return to the ground via the lowering method. Learn and practice how to secure yourself at the anchor, transfer the rope from your quickdraw to the rings and lower safely back to the ground. Beyond the Basics SOLD OUT In this ground school clinic, spend time learning a variety of intermediate-level climbing skills. From using an assisted breaking device to useful knots, basic anchor cleaning to asking your instructor basically anything, this is a loaded sampler clinic. Top Rope Open Climb Top rope with an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and guide or sign up with a friend. Guides will be on hand to answer questions and give tips, but this is not a techniques clinic. |
